We’ve compiled some of our most-often-asked questions to help you plan your visit.

General Lodge Questions

Is the indoor water park included with overnight stays?

Yes, water park access is included with specified overnight stays. Guests may begin enjoying the indoor water park prior to check-in on the day of arrival, subject to adjusted hours of operation. Access continues until the park closes on the day of departure. Please note that water park hours may vary on certain dates, and opening or closing times may be adjusted accordingly. Wristbands are required for entry and must be worn throughout the entire stay. If a wristband is removed, a replacement fee may apply. Guests are encouraged to check the most up-to-date water park schedule in advance to ensure the best experience.

When is check-in and check-out at the Resort?

Check-in begins daily after 4 p.m. If your room is not ready upon arrival, you may begin enjoying the water park prior to check-in when operating hours permit. To facilitate this, we recommend packing a smaller bag with bathing suits and swim gear, while keeping all remaining luggage securely locked in your vehicle until your room is available. Upon arrival, please visit the Front Desk to receive your water park wristbands. Lockers, showers, and changing areas are provided for your convenience in the water park. Guests must check out of their room by 11 a.m. on the day of departure; however, water park access remains available until closing time even after room checkout. Late check-out packages, extending departure to 2 p.m., are offered on a limited basis for an additional fee and can be arranged through our Reservations Department at 518-824-6000.

How old do you have to be to check in or reserve a suite?

Guests must be at least 21 years of age and present a valid government-issued ID to reserve and check in to a suite. The reservation must be made in the name of the guest checking in, and they must be present at the time of check-in.

Are there prohibited items not allowed at the lodge?

For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, certain items are prohibited on Six Flags property. Weapons and hazardous items, including firearms, ammunition, knives, Mace or pepper spray, and other self-defense or restraining devices, are not allowed. Fireworks, explosives, and flammable objects are also strictly prohibited. Illegal substances, including marijuana and marijuana-enriched products, are not permitted. Additionally, spiked clothing or jewelry, lawn or folding chairs, and glass bottles (excluding small containers such as baby food jars) are not allowed. Recreational devices such as drones, remote-controlled devices, laser pointers, scooters, skateboards, and shoes with built-in wheels are restricted. Camera accessories, including selfie sticks, monopods, and handheld extension poles for cameras or mobile devices, are also not permitted. Guests are encouraged to review these guidelines before their stay to ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit. For any questions, please contact our team.

Is stay-over service offered in my stay?

Six Flags Great Escape Lodge provides limited stay-over service, which includes the replacement of towels and toiletries as needed. For any additional items or special requests during your stay, please contact the front desk for assistance.

What is the resort's pet policy?

While we love animals, pets are not permitted inside the lodge, with the exception of service animals recognized by the ADA. If you plan to bring a service animal, please provide advance notice to ensure a smooth and comfortable stay.

Can I have packages delivered to the lodge while a guest?

Six Flags Great Escape Lodge does not accept guest packages. Any packages that arrive will be returned to the sender. We recommend making alternative delivery arrangements if needed.

What if I've lost and item during my visit?

Lost items may be turned in to our Guest Services team. Six Flags partners with Chargerback to help reunite guests with their misplaced belongings. If you have lost an item, please fill out our Lost & Found form, which can be found at the bottom of our website.

Is a credit card required at check-in if I have pre-paid for my stay?

A valid credit card is required at check-in for incidental charges. Upon check-in, your card will be authorized for the total cost of additional nights, along with a $50.00 per night incidental hold. Please note that debit cards are strongly discouraged for room charges and incidental holds, as authorization holds may take longer to be released by your bank.

What if the credit holder is not checking in?

If the credit card holder is not checking in to Six Flags Great Escape Lodge, a credit card authorization form is required. This form must be completed and submitted in advance to ensure a smooth check-in process. Please contact the lodge for more details on obtaining and submitting the authorization form.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept credit cards, checks, cashier’s checks, and money orders. Cash payments are not accepted; however, cash can be converted to a card using kiosks located on the property.

Are debit cards accepted?

Six Flags Great Escape Lodge accepts debit cards; however, an authorization hold will be placed on your card at check-in. While the hold is released at check-out, it may take your bank up to 14 business days to process the release.

Do lodge guest get a discount to Six Flags Great Escape Theme Park?

Access to the theme park is included with select overnight packages during the theme park’s operating season. For guests with these packages, theme park access is valid each day of your visit following your overnight stay at the lodge.

Is kosher food available at the lodge?

We do not offer kosher food at the lodge; however, several nearby grocery stores provide a selection of kosher food options. Aldi, Price Chopper, and Hannaford supermarkets are all within a 10-minute drive.

What is the cooking policy at the lodge?

Hotplates, grills, toasters, and any other cooking devices with a heating element are not permitted in our hotel. However, each guest suite is equipped with a mini-refrigerator and a microwave for your convenience.

Are there quiet hours at the lodge?

Quiet hours are observed from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. We kindly ask all guests to be considerate of others and maintain a peaceful environment throughout their stay.

Do Six Flags Pass Holders receive a discount at the lodge?

As a current Pass Holder, you may receive special offers on regular room rates throughout the year. To stay up to date on available offers, please visit the Special Offers page.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel your reservation, please notify us at least 7 days before your arrival date. Cancellations made prior to this period are subject to a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations received within 7 days of arrival, as well as no-show reservations, will result in the forfeiture of a one-night deposit. If you have booked a special non-cancellable rate, any cancellation will result in the forfeiture of the full deposit.

Are cribs available?

A limited number of cribs are available for guests during their stay and are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests can be made at the Front Desk upon arrival.

Are there smoking rooms available?

All areas inside Six Flags Great Escape Lodge, including suites, are strictly non-smoking. If smoking occurs inside the lodge, a $250 fine will be applied to your suite. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available for guests.

What is the difference between connecting and adjoining suites?

Connecting suites feature a shared door between them, allowing direct access between rooms. Adjoining suites do not have a connecting door but are located near each other, such as next door, across the hall, or as close as possible on the same floor.

What are "Extra Person Charges"?

Each room rate is based on a designated occupancy, with an additional fee per extra person per night, as well as any applicable charges for package inclusions. For example, a Traditional Suite is priced for an occupancy of four people but can accommodate up to six. The fifth and sixth guests would incur an additional fee per person, per night.

Are towels provided for use in White Water Bay?

The lodge provides complimentary towels for overnight guests to use in the indoor water park. Towels must be returned to the water park attendant after use. Day guests are required to bring their own towels; however, towels are available for purchase at Northwoods Traders and Gitchee Goomee gift shops.

Do I have to accompany my child in White Water Bay?

Yes, all children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Every guest entering the water park must have valid admission, either through a room reservation or a single-day ticket.

Do children need to have swimsuits on even if they are in diapers?

All guests at White Water Bay are required to wear a swimsuit. Diaper-dependent guests must also wear a swim diaper along with a plastic reusable swim diaper or cover-up underneath their swimsuit.

Where can I get a bathing suit if I forgot mine?

Swimsuits are available for purchase at both of our gift shops. Gitchee Goomee also offers everything needed for a day in the water, including flip-flops, water shoes, suntan lotion, and more. Please note that denim shorts or pants are not permitted on any attraction or in any pool at White Water Bay.

Are water shoes required in the water park?

Water shoes are not required in White Water Bay; however, footwear is required in other areas of the resort.

What is the cast policy at White Water Bay?

Waterproof casts are permitted only in Tak-It-Eesi Creek, Lott-A-Watta Bay, Soakum Springs, the pool area of Tip-A-Kanu Beach, and the structure area of Tall Timbers Treehouse.

Are children required to wear life vests at White Water Bay?

It is recommended that children 48 inches and under, as well as weak swimmers, wear a life vest while in the water park. Parents should keep their children within arm’s length at all times while at White Water Bay. Guests may bring their own life vests for use in the park, provided they are U.S. Coast Guard approved.

Are inflatable tubes and floaties allowed?

All inflatables, including floaties, swimmies, water wings, kickboards, and inflatable tubes, are not permitted in the water park.

Can I bring outside food and beverage to White Water Bay

Outside food, drinks, and coolers are not permitted in the park. However, exceptions are made for guests with special dietary needs, including food allergies, religious requirements, restrictions, and baby food or formula. Guests who wish to consume outside food or beverages may do so in their suite. Birch Bark Grille, located in White Water Bay, offers a variety of food and beverage options for guests to enjoy within the water park. Please note that food and beverages are not allowed on any attractions or in any pools.

Are bags provided for wet bathing suits?

In support of the New York State plastic bag ban, plastic bags will not be available throughout the lodge. Guests are encouraged to plan ahead and bring their own bags for transporting wet swim attire.

Do you have to be a guest of the lodge to us the indoor water park?

Single-day use tickets are available for purchase for guests not staying overnight. Please visit the Indoor Water Park tab to view hours of operation and purchase tickets.

Do you have electric vehicle (EV) charging stations?
